FATEFUL REUNION is an unofficial and upcoming non-profit, for-charity fanzine focusing on the romantic relationship between CLOUD STRIFE & AERITH GAINSBOROUGH from FINAL FANTASY VII, a relationship otherwise known as CLERITH around the world.

The theme of the FATEFUL REUNION fanzine focuses on Cloud and Aerith as lovers and all of their reunions throughout the different worlds that they have appeared in together, their fates intertwining in every world as their destined meeting was written in the stars.

This non-profit fanzine will include fan-made content that all ages can enjoy, including: illustrations, fanfictions, as well as special merchandise created by Clerith fans from around the world!

Our goal is to provide something positive to give back to this wonderful community that deserves nothing but happiness and we hope to see you participate with us.

Q. What is a fanzine?
A fanzine (fan magazine) is a non-official publication produced by fans of a particular person, group, or in our case, a ship for the enjoyment of others who share the same interest. It can either have only artworks, or be a blend of art and text pieces made by contributors. FATEFUL REUNION will be the latter.

Q. What is the theme?
The theme of the FATEFUL REUNION fanzine focuses on Cloud and Aerith as lovers and all of their reunions throughout the different worlds that they have appeared in together, their fates intertwining in every world as their destined meeting was written in the stars.


Q. Is this zine for-profit or for-charity?
The project is nonprofit and for-charity with the post-production proceeds going to A CHANCE IN LIFE, a nonprofit organization that serves refugee and migrant youth in Italy, poor and disabled youth in Ethiopia, and children living in marginalized communities in India and Latin America, giving them a place to call home as well as empowering them by giving them a chance to grow as leaders in their own communities.

Q. Will there be merchandise?
Yes! The zine will offer both digital and physical merchandise. Further details will be announced once our preorders go live.

Q. How many artists and writers will be participating?
The zine is aiming to have between 20-25 artists and between 5-8 writers overall.

Q. Will the zine have an artist-writer collaboration?
Yes! Artists and writers will be paired up accordingly after a sign-up period according to their interests, and a banner will be made for each story as illustration.

Q. What will contributors receive as compensation?
As the project is for-charity, contributors will be compensated with their copy of the zine along with all available merchandise, which will include all stretch goals unlocked during preorders. Contributors will not have to pay for their bundles as it will be covered by zine sales.

Q. How will the zine be distributed?
The digital orders will be distributed through email, while the physical orders will be shipped through couriers. Distribution of both the digital and the physical orders will be done simultaneously.

Q. How much will the zine cost?
The zine will offer varied bundles with their corresponding prices which we estimate would be $10-$15 for the lowest tier bundle, and go up to $65-$70 for the highest tier bundle.

Q. Will there be verification of the donation?
Yes! The donation and its verification will be announced once all production and shipping expenses are paid for from the zine sales.


Q. Will there be a giveaway?
Yes! Exact details and mechanics will be announced once preorders go live.

Q. Will I be able to buy a copy of the zine even after the preorders finish?
Yes! You have another chance to purchase a copy once we open our leftover store after all orders have been shipped out and our inventory is accounted for.


Q. When will the orders ship out?
The zine expects to start sending and shipping out the digital and physical orders by December 2021 barring unforeseen circumstances.
